Lab in France for vibration test:
Predictive maintenance using vibration analysis

The vibrations generated by a rotating machine correspond to the dynamic efforts generated by moving parts. Analysis of the vibration pattern makes it possible to assess the operating condition of the machine and detect defects at an early stage.

The maintenance of machines through analysing vibrations is called "predictive" as it allows improved management of defects by taking action before the failure point, during scheduled halts, by reducing the risk of untimely production stoppages resulting from a sudden breakdown.

Our intervention method for vibration test:

An on-site visit enables us to work with the production and maintenance services to identify the machines which are vital
for production
Measurement points are defined for each machine, usually on bearings
All the characteristics of the kinetic
elements are listed: rotation speed, number of gear teeth, bearing references, etc.
The vibration levels on the machines followed up are recorded regularly (the intervention frequency depends
on the type of machine and the speed
at which defects develop). Vibrations are recorded on site by a computerized recorder. The production does not need to be halted while readings are taken.
Recordings are analysed in the lab. Defects affecting the machine are identified and their severity assessed.
A measurement report is submitted after each visit. It sets out the defects found on each machine monitored and provides advice as to the severity of the defects, thus giving you the opportunity to take corrective action.
Our lab in France for vibration analysis makes it possible to diagnose:

A misaligned or unbalanced drive shaft
The condition of bearings and gearings
Tightening defects
Lug loosening
Belt defects
Electromagnetic perturbations on a motor
The condition of ventilator or
pump blades
The overall operating condition
of a machine by comparing
with admissible vibration levels.
